Your Profile picture is the first impression of your social media presence. It is important to make sure that it represents you in a professional and honest manner.
Things not to post as your profile pic:
A logo that is not square-friendly. Generally, try not to post logos as your profile picture. People connect better with humans. (Especially if you are the face of your brand).
Unflattering party photographs.
Low resolution (cellphone pictures) or fuzzy photographs.
Your friend/partner chopped off.
Bad lighting.
Red eye.
Bad Hair.
Things to post as your profile pic:
Your beautiful face.
Head and shoulders.
Smart clothes.
Bright friendly smile.
If you are using social media to connect you to professionals, then I highly recommend you give Jo Blair a call for a mini photoshoot. She took out my photograph. Click here for her website.
